James Noble

James Noble has been a social researcher for over 20 years. He started his career at MORI, where he gained first-hand practical experience of research. He then moved to Government Social Research to manage evaluations on policies including the European Refugee Fund, Extended Schools and Automatic State Pensions Forecasts. Since 2009 he has been providing evaluation support to voluntary sector organisations, initially as a freelancer, before joining NPC in 2013. At NPC James has delivered a year-long programme of advice and 1-1 support to charities in the criminal justice sector, sponsored NPC’s Evaluation and Learning partner work for the Young Academy and led evaluation support projects with Nesta. He has delivered individual consulting projects for the British Lung Foundation, The Motor Neurone Disease Association, Tapestry Care and a range of other clients. He is the author of NPC reports on theory of change, qualitative research, evaluation planning and public trust in charities.
